Creamy Quinoa Porridge
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
To serve
- additional Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original
- sliced bananas
- toasted almonds
- maple syrup
- blueberries
Tip
- Substitute bananas and blueberries with other seasonal fruits. Or try some poached or stewed fruits.
Cooking Directions
- Rinse quinoa under cold running water. Add to a large saucepan with the water. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes, or until tender and water has been absorbed. Set aside to cool.
- For serving, add quinoa to a large pan with the milk, Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original and cinnamon. Bring to a gentle simmer until heated through.
- Spoon quinoa between serving bowls and top with an additional dollop of Bulla Cottage Cheese, Original, some sliced bananas, almonds, maple syrup and blueberries.
